Which music licence do I need?
It depends on whether your content earns money yet. Personal covers creators who are not monetised — including a YouTube channel that has not been accepted into the YouTube Partner Program — and it is free with an AI Soundtrack analysis when you only need the finished video; buying the track on its own is 290 Spark credits. Commercial covers monetised channels, client work and brand marketing. Extended Commercial (Enterprise PLUS) covers film, TV, games, apps and large-scale distribution. You choose the one that fits; nothing checks your channel.

Prices are per track and are charged in Spark credits. Monthly plans include a number of music downloads at a set licence tier — see Pricing for what each plan includes. Extended Commercial (Enterprise PLUS) is not included with any subscription and is always purchased with Spark credits.
What happens to my Personal licence if my channel starts earning later?
Nothing. Your licence is judged by where your account stood on the day you got it, so every track you already licensed under Personal stays covered in the videos you already made. You are never asked to upgrade them retroactively. Tracks you add after your channel starts earning need a Commercial licence.
What do I get when I buy a licence?
The finished video at full length with no watermark, lifetime royalty-free use of the track in that project, the official license terms as a PDF, and an instant download. Every paid licence also includes the high-quality WAV and MP3 files; a Personal licence that came free with your analysis covers the video itself rather than the separate audio files.

High-quality WAV and MP3 files come with every paid license — Commercial, Extended Commercial, and a Personal license bought on its own. A Personal license that came free with your analysis covers the video itself, not the separate audio files.
Do I have to credit VividSpark?
No. Attribution is not required. Licences are non-exclusive, royalty-free after purchase, and perpetual — a one-time purchase with no recurring fees and no subscription needed to keep using a track you have licensed.

What is not covered by a standard licence?
Releasing a track as a standalone song under your own artist identity, cover versions or re-recordings as standalone works, live concerts and ticketed events, reselling or sublicensing the audio, and AI model training or dataset use. Each of these requires separate written authorization.
What's NOT Covered (any standard license)
The following uses require separate written authorization:
- Releasing the track as a standalone song under your own artist identity (Spotify, Apple Music, DistroKid, etc.)
- Cover performances or re-recordings as standalone works
- Live concerts, ticketed events, or commercial tours
- Reselling, redistributing, or sublicensing the audio
- AI model training or dataset usage

What happens if I get a copyright claim on a track I licensed?
Every track in the library is original and comes with proper commercial licensing, so a claim should not normally happen. If you do run into one, contact our support team and we will help you work through it.
Our music does not come from Spotify, YouTube or any streaming service, so you are using tracks made for commercial use rather than borrowing someone else's.
Where does the music come from?
Our tracks are produced using a combination of human curation and AI-assisted music tools, under valid commercial licensing from the source platforms. You're responsible for any AI disclosure requirements on your distribution platform (e.g., YouTube, TikTok labeling rules where applicable).
